Last Trip to the Beach?

Maggie and I went to the beach last weekend. Down to the Cerberus at Black Rock.

I always feel a little guilty when the kids go climbing on sandstone as they erosion is pretty bad but it does look cool and they have fun.

There is talk in government circles about Melbourne going to Stage 4 restrictions…what this actually means has not actually been defined.

So…maybe we won’t be able to see the beach for a while. ☹️

That’s a very static Mags, not at all as we’re used to seeing her. I don’t think I’ve every seen this bit of sandstone near Black Rock. I probably have though.

It will indeed be sad for all of you that you’re locked-down again, and for all the businesses in Hampton it must be a real shock as they would have begun to think their life was getting back to normal.

Here in Wales, the Welsh government is looking at England and saying that all that BoJo is pronouncing is optimistic in the extreme. For once, I hope they’re wrong, but also pleased that they’ve been so careful and risk averse. Both mum and I believe you should only move forwards at the pace of the weakest members of society, but this pandemic is throwing that on it’s head as the weakest can’t provide everything for everybody as well, so a compromise has always got to be sought.

God only knows how we’ll emerge from this. I’m just grateful to be relatively safe, in Melbourne Road, in Wales, and not in Leicester, Blackburn, or indeed in many parts of the US.

I’m glad you enjoyed your walk. Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean about sandstone pete, it can flake right off .

It is good to hear what you’re up to. Glad you and Mags got down there while you could . We are off to the lakes today and so I will try and post something later to test out

I don’t like letting the kids climb on sandstone because it erodes so easily but on the flip side…it’s so much fun. There are not many pleasures or things to look forward to at the moment.
