The geyser that didn’t need soap

We did quite a bit of research on trying to work out which geyser, and which thermal park, to shell out a not inconsiderable sum of money to watch perform. In the end we plumped on Te Puia on the basis that it didn’t require someone seeding the feed to make it perform “regularly at 10:15 every morning”. We weren’t disappointed. The mud bubbled and plopped in the frog pool (ribbet, ribbet); the water tumbled over the terraces; the pools steamed and the geysers performed well for a considerable length of time and were just about to start again as we left … with not a human in sight! as ewan said … “Wow!”
