Rotorua is like nowhere else I’ve ever been. At one end of the spectrum it’s a unique quiescent volcanic landscape, always threatening to burst into action with the spectre of Lake Taupo and it’s super-volcano status just down the road, and at the other end it’s a fun, holiday venue. This video records the panorama taken from the top of the ancient volcano rim overlooking Lake Rotorua; the Skyline adventure park where we enjoyed the luge runs and the ski-lifts to get back to the top; and the gondola which took you up to the top and back to the entrance. I think you can guess from watching this that Jenny doesn’t enjoy ski-lifts or gondolas so she did very well to overcome her concerns.
